Dr Nadya Chami
Hi, I’m Nadya and I am an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist working in the Sydney CBD and Eastern Suburbs of Sydney.
I believe Obstetrics and Gynaecology is an important and sensitive area in Medicine, which requires dedication and compassion. Women are often putting their needs last after the needs of their families or workplace, so I strive to address your concerns and needs as a priority.
I graduated in Medicine in 1999 from the University of Newcastle. My specialist O&G training was completed at The Royal Hospital for Women including extra experience working in the United Kingdom.
I have admitting rights at the Prince of Wales Private Hospital and the Royal Hospital for Women, both in Randwick. I am a conjoint lecturer at the University of New South Wales and Notre Dame University where I teach doctors of the future. I also teach and supervise doctors who are training to become specialists.
I’m a single mum having chosen to have a baby on my own with the help of a donor sperm program at IVFA. In 2014, I had my sweet little girl after IVF and a tricky pregnancy. My empathy for my patients has been deepened by these experiences.
